Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect at queltehuescamp.cl, what we use it for, who we share it with and how you can exercise your rights, in accordance with Chilean Law 19.628 on the protection of private life and its amendments, including Law 21.719.
Last updated: October 2026.
This is a translation provided for your convenience. In case of any difference, the Spanish version prevails.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Queltehues Concept Camp SpA, RUT 78.486.239-9, located at Sector La Boca km 8.8, Buchupureo, Cobquecura, Ñuble Region, Chile.
For any question or request about your personal data, write to us at reservas@queltehuescamp.cl.
2. What data we collect and why
When you book: your name, email, phone, dates and number of guests, whether you're bringing a pet, how you'll be camping, your comments and the discount code if you use one. We use them to manage and charge your booking and to contact you about your stay. We need them to fulfil the accommodation contract you make with us.
When you arrive at the camp: the name and ID document of each guest, one by one, so we know who is staying at the camp and can act in an emergency, if someone goes missing or in any other situation that requires it. We use them for the safety of everyone staying with us.
Payments: card payments are processed directly by Transbank (Webpay Plus); we don't receive or store your card details, only the result of the payment. If you pay by bank transfer, we keep the receipt as a record.
If you create an account (it's optional): your name, email and phone, to save your details for your next booking and show you your history and loyalty card. If you enter your date of birth, we only use it to offer you a birthday treat.
If you write to us through the contact form: your name, email, phone (if you enter it) and your message, only to reply to you.
If you subscribe to our news: your email, to send you news from the camp every now and then. We only do it with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time from any of those emails.
If you comment on the blog: your name and comment are published on the post once we review them. Your email is not published: we only use it in case we need to write to you about your comment.
3. Who we share your data with
We don't sell or rent your data. It's only shared with the providers we need to run the service, who process it on our behalf: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database and accounts), Transbank (card payments), Resend (booking emails), Brevo (newsletter emails), Google (the getting-here map and, if you accept, Google Analytics) and Meta (if you accept, its advertising pixel).
The cabins and the Loft are booked on Airbnb: Airbnb handles that data under its own privacy policy.
We may also hand over data to an authority when required by law.
4. Data outside Chile
Several of these providers store data on servers outside Chile, for example in the United States or the European Union. We do so only to provide you with the service, and with providers that have their own security and privacy policies.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep your booking and payment data for 6 years, because of our tax and accounting obligations. We keep the guest register (name and ID document of each guest who stays) for up to 1 year after the stay.
Your account data, for as long as you have the account; if you ask us to delete it, we delete your profile, although your booking data is kept for the period above.
Contact form messages, 1 year. Your newsletter email, until you unsubscribe. Blog comments, while they're published or until you ask us to delete them.
6. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access your data, correct it (rectification), delete it (erasure), object to its use for a specific purpose, receive it in a format you can take to another service (portability) and temporarily block its use. You can also withdraw your consent whenever you want, without affecting what we did with it before.
To do so, write to reservas@queltehuescamp.cl with the subject “Personal data”, telling us which right you want to exercise and details that let us identify you (for example, the email you booked with). We'll reply within the time limits set by law.
If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Chilean Personal Data Protection Agency (Agencia de Protección de Datos Personales).
8. Security
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to data is restricted to the people who run the camp, and card payments are processed directly by Transbank.
9. Minors
Bookings must be made by someone aged 18 or over. For children coming on a booking, we only ask how many there are.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll publish the current version here with its update date.
