Before you arrive

Camp rules

This page sets out our main house rules, to keep this place at its best.

Here they are, one by one, so you can keep them in mind during your stay at Queltehues.

General

  • Loud noise and music at high volume are allowed until 10:00 pm. After that you can keep enjoying the night, always respecting the other guests.

  • Look after your belongings: Queltehues is not responsible for the loss of personal items.

  • Queltehues is pet friendly, so you can bring your pet. You must pick up after them, and feeding other people's dogs is not allowed. It's very important to keep your dog under control: its barking shouldn't bother anyone and it shouldn't wander into neighboring sites.

  • Each site has a fire pit and grill area, and you're welcome to use them, but it's very important to light fires only in the area meant for it and to put them out completely.

  • We have a recycling point for glass, cans and cardboard. Each site also has a bin for organic waste. General rubbish goes back home with you: what comes in, goes out. No littering.

  • If Queltehues organizes an event, we'll let you know in advance, and only then may the noise curfew (10:00 pm) be extended.

  • Pitching tents outside the assigned sites is not allowed.

  • Please follow the signs around the camp.

River area

  • Children must always be supervised by a responsible adult when they're near the river.

  • The river is safe for swimming.

Important: Check the current and depth beforehand. Don't jump from any surface: use the steps provided to get in.

  • If you bring your own kayak or stand-up paddleboard, you can use the river entirely at your own risk.

  • Using products (shampoo, soap, conditioner) in the river is not allowed.

  • Motorized craft are not allowed on the river.

  • Queltehues is not liable for any unfortunate incident.

Club House

  • It's a shared space, so please keep it clean. Wash, dry and put away your dishes.

  • When the staff clean the fridge, they remove any food that isn't labeled: remember to label yours with your name.

  • Smoking is not allowed inside the Club House.

  • The second floor (the loft) is a private room and access is not allowed. Only guests with a booking may go up.

  • The Club House firewood is only for its wood stove. If you want firewood for your site's fire pit, it's paid separately: ask the staff on duty.

Thanks for helping us look after this place. Enjoy your stay!
